Migration FAQ

Is migration really free?

Yes — engineer-led migration is included with every MilesHost hosting plan, regardless of site size or how many sites you move.

Will my site go offline during the move?

No. We build a complete copy on MilesHost first and only switch DNS once you have approved it, so visitors always reach a working site.

What about my email accounts?

Mailboxes, aliases and forwarding rules move as part of the same project, including existing mail history. Nothing is deleted at your old host.

Will my Google rankings be affected?

No. URLs stay identical, redirects are preserved, and we keep response times and status codes matching — search engines see a faster version of the same site.

How many sites can you migrate?

As many as your plan allows. Agencies and resellers regularly move 20–100 sites with us in batches, coordinated by one engineer.

What if something goes wrong?

Your old host stays live as a fallback for 14 days, so we can point DNS back within minutes. In practice this has been needed on well under 1% of moves.
